The operating room is equipped with six beds and handles an average of 400 cases
per month. The scope of procedures includes a diverse range of specialties: Ear,
Nose and Throat (ENT), Cataract and Retinal Eye surgeries, Gynecologic,
Laparoscopic and Endoscopic, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Plastic and
Reconstructive, Prostate, and Gastroenterological surgeries. The majority of
cases are general and orthopedic. Surgical operations are conducted Monday
through Friday, with additional night, weekend, and holiday call rotations to
ensure continuous coverage.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
• Graduate of a surgical technology program
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire and maintain thereafter

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
