About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to support our surgical team during a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will assist surgeons and medical staff by preparing the operating room, managing surgical instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure safe and efficient procedures.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or equivalent credential.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with the EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Proven experience in surgical or hospital environments.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as required.
• Maintain sterile fields and adhere strictly to infection control protocols.
• Monitor and manage surgical equipment functionality throughout procedures.
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.
• Document and manage surgical supplies and instrument counts accurately.
• Comply with all hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
