About The Position

Position Summary:
The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery. gathers clean and sterile supplies. Sets sterile instrument fields. maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. assists with the orientation of new staff. and participates on departmental committees. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Minimum Experience: Six months acute care experience as an OR Tech (Surgical Technologist) or a graduate from an accredited OR Tech (Surgical Technologist) training program required.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Must be able to provide proof of work authorization
