About The Position

We are looking for Surgical Techs in the Fort Myers area. Must have completed the 2 year surgical tech course to qualify. The position involves preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries, sterilizing equipment and instruments, stocking adequate supplies for surgery, preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites, providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies, tracking surgical supplies, and staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures. The Surgical Tech will work well with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and the general surgical team.

Requirements

• Must have completed the 2 year surgical tech course to qualify.
• CST preferred or schooling as a surgical tech.

Responsibilities

• Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
• Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
• Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
• Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
• Tracking surgical supplies.
• Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
• Working well with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses and general surgical team.
