Requirements

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain concentration during lengthy procedures.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of current or recent operating room experience with ambulatory basic procedures.
• BLS Certification.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, etc.).
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in performing surgical procedures.
• Manage and direct the sterile field during operations.
• Prepare and organize complex sterile surgical setups.
• Select and prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgeries.
• Adhere to strict aseptic techniques during procedures.
• Position patients appropriately for surgical interventions.
• Document pertinent patient and supply information related to surgeries.
• Recognize and address potentially hazardous situations in the operating room.
