Surgical Technician Intern - ST
About The Position
The Summer Surgical Technologist student (Summer ST) provides delegated care to the surgical patient under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and in collaboration with the surgical team. The designated tasks are those which have been taught in the academic programs and/or orientation, and where the individual has demonstrated competence to a designated RN or CST. The functions are those limited by law to unlicensed personnel. The Summer ST performs primarily in the surgical scrub role preparing, selecting and maintaining equipment, instruments, and supplies. Rotation through all surgical specialties Will be partnered with ST daily during the internship Primarily will work 0700-1530 and occasional 1000-1830 Internship will offer employment from May 27th through August 17th Students currently enrolled in a certified CST program between their first and second year Why Mayo Clinic Mayo Clinic is top-ranked in more specialties than any other care provider according to U.S. News & World Report.
