Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- HS Diploma or GED plus short-term training in operating room setting or graduate of surgical technician certification from an accredited school or training program required.
- Current BLS required.
- Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment.
- Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.
- Minimum of three years experience in a hospital operating room.
- Certification Required- or minimum of 10+ years of experience and skillset to perform all specialties.
Nice To Haves
- Previous CVOR experience HIGHLY preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides assistance and support to surgeons by preparing and providing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
- Works under the supervision of the surgeon.
- Facilitates a safe, effective and orderly operating room to maximize patient safety.
