About The Position

Surgical Technologist Overview: As a key member of the surgical team, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring every procedure runs seamlessly. Working under the direction of the Nurse Manager, you'll prepare, support, and assist in a wide range of surgical operations — from setup to closure — ensuring safety, precision, and teamwork at every step. What You'll Do: Be the expert in the room: Plan and scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, anticipating the needs of surgeons and adapting in real time. Set the stage for success: Assemble, test, and manage specialized OR equipment — from surgical drills to complex devices — ensuring everything is sterile, functional, and ready. Champion patient safety: Maintain strict aseptic technique, support infection prevention practices, and uphold the highest standards of surgical care. Keep it clean and reliable: Monitor sterilizers and sterilization processes, caring for and maintaining all surgical instruments and equipment. Collaborate and contribute: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams to ensure efficient, coordinated, and compassionate care for every patient. Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have graduated from a vocational program for Surgical Technicians or Technologist.
  • Three (3) years of on-the-job training experience may be accepted in place of completion of a vocational program.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
  • Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
  • Requires specialized knowledge and skills in operating room practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are utilized to enhance and encourage collaborative staff and community relationships.
  • Must be able to respond quickly and be familiar with operating procedures to have instruments ready for surgeons.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer three to five (3-5) years of experience with diverse surgical specialties.
