Surgical Services - Surgical Tech
About The Position
This 10-hour day shift OR position is located at The University of Vermont Health Network at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, a 341-bed facility with 8 OR suites at the main campus and 4 ORs at the ASC. Shifts run 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, with rotating days off. Circulating is required; scrub experience is preferred. Floating to the ASC is required based on case volume and experience. Weekend call is required once every 3rd to 4th weekend, with one night of call per week. One holiday per year may be assigned. Two days of orientation are provided. Scheduling is managed through SmartSquare. Documentation and medication systems are EPIC.
Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience in a similar-sized facility, preferably Trauma Level II or higher.
- Strong ENT experience is required due to increased case volume.
- BLS certification is required
- Surgical Tech candidates must hold NBSTSA certification.
- Work history must be complete, including facility size, bed count, EMR, and trauma level.
- All employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.
- Reliable transportation is required, as public transportation is not accessible.
Nice To Haves
- CNOR is preferred.
- Prior travel experience is preferred.
