About The Position

The Surgical Technologist assists in the sterile environment of the operating room by providing assistance to the surgeon and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Scrub Technologist program or applicable scrub experience is preferred
• Two (2) years of experience in a hospital or medical environment as a scrub technologist preferred.
• Robotics experience in Urology and General Surgery preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Robotics experience in Ortho & ENT

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a portion of the perioperative care of the surgical patient by proficiently planning, implementing and evaluating the preparation of surgical cases and preparation of the surgical suite.
• Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures in a manner as to make the procedure safe, effective and smooth flowing while adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
• Responsible for the preparation of surgical instruments and equipment as appropriate to the surgical procedure.
• Assist in the instrument, decontamination, prep and pack department when necessary.
