About The Position

The Surgical Tech role provides basic care for patients across the life span. Performs duties of scrub person throughout the intra-operative phase of care. Recognizes significant conditions and reactions and notifies the appropriate patient care team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Surgical Tech program with the ability to sit for certification OR 2 years minimum working in a Surgical Tech role for Surgical Technologist I.
• Minimum of 2 years in a Surgical Technologist/Technician role if completion of a Surgical tech program has not been completed for Surgical Technologist I.
• American Heart Association CPR (BLS) certification for both Surgical Technologist I and II.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Intra-operative orientation to learn department/unit policies, procedures, and work routines.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Surgical Technology for both Surgical Technologist I and II.

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $27.25 to $38.48 depending on experience and role.
