About The Position

Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI is seeking a SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST to join our team! Surgery Tech and/or First Assistant - Part Time (0.6 FTE, 48 hours per pay period, Day Shift) We're looking for a skilled Surgery Tech / First Assistant to play a key role in delivering safe, efficient surgeries. You'll set the stage for success by preparing instruments and equipment, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating the surgeon's needs every step of the way. Job Description: The Surgical Tech is responsible for preparing the operating room by arranging instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies. This role ensures the integrity of the sterile field throughout the procedure, assists the surgical team by passing instruments and anticipating the surgeon's needs, and supports proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments and equipment before and after surgery. Additional responsibilities include performing accurate counts, handling specimens, and facilitating efficient room turnover to maintain safety and optimize workflow.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Current BLS certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
