About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: An integral member of the surgical team who provides support
for surgeons throughout the operation by preparing, providing and caring for
instruments and equipment and maintaining a sterile field.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from a school of Surgical Technology preferred.
• BLS certification required prior to end of probationary period.
• Knowledge of care and handling of instruments and equipment.
• Knowledge of sterilization and cleansing procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years experience in an acute care hospital setting in the operating room or an instrument care environment preferred.
