About The Position

Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program
• 3 years of experience and Surgical Tech Certification OR In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire OR CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire
