Available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Per Diem Days The Surgical Technologist demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures. Requirements

• Required: Graduate of surgical technology program as required by state regulation of practice or policy.
• Required: AHA BLS.
• Texas : A health care facility may not employ a person to practice surgical technology unless they become certified within 180 days of employment or was employed to practice surgical technology before September 1, 2009.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred: 1 year experience as a surgical technologist.
• Preferred: Surgical Technologist Certification.

Responsibilities
