About The Position
The Surgical Tech II PRN facilitates patient care by assisting physicians/nursing staff before, during and after surgical procedures by creating and maintaining a sterile field and providing the instruments and supplies required by the surgeons in a sterile manner according to established plan for patient care with occasional guidance. Is able to perform competently most of the cases in a given service/shift. Our third-floor Main Operating Room at Vanderbilt University Hospital is a fast-paced, team-focused environment that cares for adult patients with various neurosurgical needs, including brain, neurovascular, spine, and peripheral nervous system issues, with a special focus on Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson’s Disease. Our diverse patient population and highly efficient Neurosurgery Team prioritize safety and advocacy, providing high-quality care through teamwork and technical expertise. New team members receive extensive, specialized orientation tailored to their learning styles.
