About The Position

The Surgical Technician is an integral member of the healthcare team, working directly under the supervision of the surgeon. This role is primarily responsible for scrubbing in on surgical procedures and assisting professional staff in the care of patients. A strong understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques is essential, along with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. The Surgical Technician must maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient, family, employee, and financial information. This position also includes participation in on-call responsibilities as outlined by department policy. The Surgical Technician supports and upholds the organization's mission: To care, To heal, To educate.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Program in Surgical Technology
• Certified Surgical Technician and/or TS-C (Tech in Surgery-Certified) within 1 year of hire
• CPR certification for staff in Women's & Children's area
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire in Women's & Children's area
• De-escalation training within 6 months
