The work we do building families offers stimulation, challenge, and personal reward. We have an immediate opening for a part-time Surgical Tech for the OR to join our team in New York, New York at our Ambulatory Surgery Centers located at our Eastside practice and will float as needed to our Brooklyn practice. The schedule is working Monday through Friday between the hours of 11:00AM to 5:00PM based on procedure schedule (11:00AM-4:00PM or 12:00PM to 5:00PM). Weekend and holiday rotations working 7:00AM to 12:00PM. The pay range is $20 to $25 per hour. How You'll Contribute: We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Surgical Tech for he OR is responsible for: Preparing and maintaining a sterile field with the required instruments and supplies to complete a designated surgical procedure efficiently and cost-effectively. The Surgical Tech is assigned to prepare, setup, and scrub for routine and urgent surgical procedures and prepare patients for surgery. Observing vital signs Other related functions on an as needed basis. The Surgical Tech would be responsible for the proper maintenance of the procedure rooms and ordering of supplies.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
  • At least one year experience in acute care operating room or assisting in procedures as a Surgical Tech is required.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Smart, outgoing, organized and enjoy working with people.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • A Surgical Technician Certification is preferred
  • Medical Assistant Certification is allowed.
  • National Operating Room Technician Certification (CORT) is preferred.
  • Open to non-certified medical professionals
  • Bi-lingual language skills are a plus
  • interest in the field of reproductive medicine is preferred.
  • A current BLS/ACLS Certification is optional.

Responsibilities
