About The Position

Surgical Tech First Assist - Surgical Services Full-time, first shift Job Description: The Surgical First Assist in surgery assists the supervising surgeon(s) in the management of patients under the direct supervision of the surgeon(s). The Surgical First Assist works closely and assists the surgeon in providing quality, efficient and continuous and cost-effective care in the operating room.

Requirements

• Current Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of surgical first assist experience required.
• Licensed Surgical First Assist in good standing.
• To be eligible for a certificate a person shall hold and maintain certification by one (1) of the following: 1. The National Board Surgical Tech Surgical Assistant Association; or 2. The Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologists 3. Kentucky Medical License

Nice To Haves

• Davinci certification and experience preferred.
