About The Position
The position functions as a first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures, adhering to the credentials, privileges, experience, education, and competency verification. The individual will assist the operating room (OR) staff in the assigned room or case and will facilitate the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment in the role of scrub tech. Maintaining the sterile field and anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgical team is a critical aspect of this role.
