About The Position

Position Description: Surgical Technologist First Assistant Responsible for assisting the surgeon during surgery and plays a vital role in the operating room during surgeries. Communicates the surgeon's preferences and specific patient needs to surgical team. Assists in positioning, prepping and draping of patients for surgical procedures. Provides retraction of tissues and organs for optimal visualization with regard to the surgical site. Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience as a Surgical Tech and 1-year Surgical First Assistant experience.
  • High School or Equivalent and Surgical Technology First Assist Certificate
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) Certification.
