Our team values clinical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. ---------------------------------------- PER-DIEM (PRN) SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST (SCRUB TECH) AT MEMORIAL HERMANN SURGERY CENTER SOUTHWEST The Surgical Technologist plays a key role on the surgical team, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment. Responsibilities include: Scrubbing for surgical procedures and maintaining a sterile field throughout the operation Preparing supplies, instruments, and equipment for scheduled procedures Demonstrating competence as a member of the surgical team by anticipating the needs of the surgeon Supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Certification as required by the state and/or center Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and surgical patient management Understanding and application of aseptic techniques Ability to adapt quickly to changes in patient condition Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians ---------------------------------------- WHO WE ARE At USPI, we create relationships that create better care. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certification as required by the state and/or center
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and surgical patient management
  • Understanding and application of aseptic techniques
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in patient condition
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
