About The Position

The surgical technologist plays a crucial role in the surgical team, assisting in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position involves taking responsibility for patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring that the surgical environment is safe and sterile, and that all necessary instruments and supplies are available and functioning properly.

Requirements

• Certificate of graduation from a School of Surgical Technology.
• Certification as a Surgical Technician is required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of patient care as a member of the surgical team.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Ensure that all surgical instruments and supplies are available and functioning properly.
• Assist the surgical team with patient positioning and draping.
• Handle and pass instruments to the surgeon during the procedure.
• Monitor the patient's condition and report any changes to the Registered Nurse.
