About The Position

Join us at Holy Family Hospital. Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement. Position Summary: FT Nights, 32 hours 11pm--7:30a shift. Birthing Center Sign On Bonus Up to $20K. The OR Tech is a member of the surgical team in the operating room who acts as the primary scrub person who handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary, prior to and during the surgical procedure. It provides technical assistance during procedures in the operating and pain rooms. Provides patient care within the prevailing national and state standards of practice and the policies of the facility. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager which include, but are not limited to, providing patient care in other areas.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited educational program for surgical technologists.
• Hold and maintain a Certified Surgical Technologist credential.
• One year of experience preferred.
• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

• Experience in a surgical facility as a surgical technologist.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary scrub person in the operating room.
• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures.
• Provide technical assistance during procedures in the operating and pain rooms.
• Ensure quality patient care during operative procedures.
• Maintain the sterile field.
• Provide patient care in other areas as designated by the Nurse Manager.
