About The Position

Performs a variety of patient-related and technical duties in support of operating room.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current North Carolina NA I certification and in good standing on the NC registry.
• Proficient in basic clerical skills and use of basic office machines.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and keep records.
• Incumbent will be required to attain BLS certification within three months of employment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer application skills and general knowledge of sterile technique/surgical supplies preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital experience preferred, or similar work environment.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and assists with their transfer, positioning and/or restraining under the supervision of the professional staff.
• Demonstrates competency in the performance of duties specific to all age groups of patients.
