About The Position

The Surgical Supply Tech is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. Responsible for maintenance of the surgery services supply inventory in a cost effective manner. Makes sure supplies are reordered as they reach appropriate levels and then ensures they get restocked to their proper location. Responsible for ensuring compliance of vendor policy in the surgery services Departments.

Requirements

• Two years experience in a surgery environment or hospital materials management department
• Current CPR certification
• Requires a thorough knowledge or ability to learn the day-to-day operations of a Surgery Department.
• Knowledge of or the ability to learn surgical environment needs, including basic asepsis, traffic patterns, surgery attire, instrumentation, supplies and equipment.
• Familiar with product terminology and possess knowledge of the surgery supply market.
• Must have the ability to understand the financial impact of revenues, expenses, and inventory investments.
• Capable of using Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
• Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment.
• Must demonstrate technical competence, professional judgment and good communication skills.
• Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
