About The Position

Santiam Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our busy surgical department. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and seamless operations by maintaining the highest standards in sterile processing. The successful candidate will expertly manage the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. Position Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 1030-1900. Salary Range: $24.05 - $35.32 What You’ll Do: Efficiently, appropriately, and competently decontaminate, disinfect, inspect, package, sterilize, store, and distribute equipment used in the surgical field in accord with applicable manufacturer's recommendation, Surgical Service Department Policy, and applicable federal and state law. Having a willingness to work flexible hours, which may include call hours outside normal business hours.

Requirements

Successful completion of a sterile processing course, or equivalent education/experience.
National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.
Experience using personal computer and basic software programs.

Nice To Haves

Basic Life Support certification, preferred.

Responsibilities
