Job Summary and Qualifications .Position Summary: Serves as a member of the surgical support team responsible for cleaning and maintaining Operating Rooms and their Sterile Areas. Requirements

BCLS upon hire.
Applies basic skills appropriate for the position. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the requirements of the positions. Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments functions. Ability to effectively communicate policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood by fellow employees.
Works under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Supervision Provided: Assists in orientation and training of employees. Assists supervisor or Manager with day to day operations of the work team.

Responsibilities

Assists with Surgical Suite turnover cleaning
May need to perform terminal cleaning of operating rooms and sterile areas when needed.
Empties out trash and bio in the surgical area
Re-stocks cleaning chemicals, paper products, medical gas, linens and PPE
Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.
Performs day to day assignments in addition to OR duties which include but not limited to patient transport, specimen transport and blood product transport.
Responsible for the overall environment of care compliance associated with the perioperative space
