Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology
AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification (required within 30 days of hire)
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient safety

Nice To Haves

Surgical Technologist certification (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
Set up, organize, and ensure proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment
Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures and pass instruments accurately and efficiently
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterile processing standards
Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping under RN direction
Handle specimens according to facility protocols
Participate in room turnover and ensure proper instrument processing
Restock and maintain surgical supplies
Communicate effectively with the surgical team to promote safe, coordinated patient care
