About The Position

ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Surgical Scheduler for our Radiation Oncology department in Newark, DE. A scheduling coordinator's primary responsibilities will be to schedule brachytherapy and PSI procedures as well as PV and CT simulations for patients undergoing treatment and therapy in Radiation Oncology. You will work in collaboration with the nursing and therapy teams to optimize the patient experience, assuring the availability and proper utilization of resources and approvals including time, equipment, and personnel.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Minimum of 2 years related medical office experience with knowledge of surgical scheduling for multiple providers.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Schedule brachytherapy and PSI procedures for patients.
• Coordinate PV and CT simulations for patients undergoing treatment.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to enhance patient experience.
• Ensure availability and proper utilization of resources, including time, equipment, and personnel.
