About The Position
The position involves scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling onsite surgical procedures in accordance with established NSPC guidelines. The role requires obtaining and accurately recording patient demographics, insurance information, and other pertinent details in patient charts to ensure proper medical care and accurate claim payments. The individual will communicate pre-surgery instructions to patients, interface with staff to maintain a cohesive working relationship in providing patient care services, and enter notes and special instructions in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Additionally, the position requires effective utilization of clinical knowledge to determine appointment consistency with provider indications, accurate documentation of informed consent, and providing detailed information to patients regarding test preparations and appointment logistics. The role also includes confirming insurance provider details, ensuring medical clearance and pre-surgical testing, completing pre-procedure phone calls, reviewing discharge instructions, and adhering to compliance regulations and policies.
