Requirements

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Proven experience in surgical or perioperative nursing preferred.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to patient care.
BLS and ACLS certification required; additional certifications in perioperative nursing (CNOR) are a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for surgical procedures by reviewing medical histories, explaining procedures, and ensuring informed consent.
Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by providing necessary instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition throughout the perioperative period.
Administer medications as directed by physicians.
Provide postoperative care, including wound management, pain control, and patient education on recovery protocols.
Document all patient interactions, procedures, and observations accurately and thoroughly.
Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
