About The Position

SAGE Concord is a premier provider of specialty and emergency veterinary care, delivering a comprehensive range of services including Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Imaging, Neurology, Oncology, and Integrative Medicine. As a Surgery RVT, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality surgical care to our patients. You'll work alongside board-certified surgeons and highly skilled veterinary professionals in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active and current California RVT license is required
• Clinical experience in veterinary surgery
• Strong mathematical skills (drug dosages, CRIs, estimates)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Preoperative Care: Prepare surgical suites assist with patient preparation.
• Anesthesia: Administer, monitor, and adjust anesthesia during procedures, ensuring patient safety.
• Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons by providing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and anticipating needs.
• Postoperative Care: Monitor patient recovery, administer medications, maintain accurate medical records.
• Radiography: Capture and process diagnostic X-rays as needed for surgical procedures.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.
• Client Communication: Provide clear, compassionate guidance on postoperative care and home recovery instructions.
• Emergency Response: Assist with emergency surgical procedures when needed.
• Any other duties as assigned.
