As a Surgical Pathology Technologist, you play a key role in preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists. Your responsibilities include receiving and labeling specimens, assisting with gross examination, processing and embedding tissues, cutting thin sections, and performing various stains. You will also support the team by processing, describing, and dissecting small tissue specimens and preparing frozen section slides. In this role, you help maintain quality control, ensure equipment is functioning properly, and follow all safety protocols. Collaboration with pathologists and lab staff is essential to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses. Your work is critical to support innovative surgeries and advance the medical services we provide.
