About The Position

Greater Sacramento Surgery Center is a multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center located in Sacramento with 6 operating rooms. GSSC specializes in Orthopedics, Podiatry, Urology, GYN, Spine, ENT, GI, Pain, and Plastic surgery. The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for surgical care through assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care to include safe nursing care from the surgery center. Applies knowledge, experience, and judgment to determine the importance of a situation, set priorities, and use abstract thought to evaluate clinical situations. Participates in patient and staff education. Demonstrates accountability for own practices as defined by the Nurse Practice Act. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent discipline required.
• Registered California Nursing License Required.
• Documentation of current BLS/ACLS/PALS
• Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
• Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written.
• Excellent active listening and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to multi-task, exercise excellent time management, and meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to provide and receive constructive job and/or industry related feedback.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment and achieve objectives effectively and positively.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years direct nursing operating room experience preferred.
