About The Position

Exciting opportunity for a PA to join our surgical oncology team in Naperville and Elmhurst, IL. This PA will practice along the continuum of care to support one of our surgical oncologists. This is a hybrid role with surgery, in-patient, and office-based job duties. We are currently recruiting for two full-time PAs to work with our surgical oncologist. Under the direction of a physician, provides surgical oncology care to patients including first assist in the OR. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Develops a comprehensive plan of care that includes interventions and treatments. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Provides staff education as indicated. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • PAs – NCCPA certification required.
  • New grads and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Current IL PA license
  • Current IL PA controlled substance license
  • Current DEA certification
  • Current CPR
