About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surgical Oncologist. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a complex surgical oncology practice dedicated to the comprehensive care of patients with a broad spectrum of malignant diseases. This position involves the surgical management of complex oncologic conditions, including but not limited to: Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) malignancies liver, pancreas, bile duct cancers Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) tumors including esophago-gastric junction and gastric cancers Soft Tissue Sarcomas of the extremity, retroperitoneum, and trunk Stage IV Colorectal Cancer , focusing on management of colorectal cancer metastasis to the liver Cytoreductive Surgery with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) for peritoneal surface malignancies Endocrine surgery The successful candidate will work closely with a comprehensive cancer team, including medical and radiation oncologists, gastroenterologists, pathologists, and other subspecialists, to deliver multidisciplinary care in a tumor board-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Complex Surgical Oncology with fellowship training in Complex General Surgical Oncology or an equivalent subspecialty
  • Commitment to clinical excellence
  • Ability and willingness to support the broader functions of the Department of Surgery, such as participating in general surgery call, contributing to clinical, educational and service missions of the department
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-based, collaborative approach to care

Responsibilities

  • Surgical management of complex oncologic conditions
  • Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) malignancies: liver, pancreas, bile duct cancers
  • Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) tumors: including esophago-gastric junction and gastric cancers
  • Soft Tissue Sarcomas: of the extremity, retroperitoneum, and trunk
  • Stage IV Colorectal Cancer, focusing on management of colorectal cancer metastasis to the liver
  • Cytoreductive Surgery with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) for peritoneal surface malignancies
  • Endocrine surgery
