The Surgical Equipment Tech works under the supervision of the Manager to provide technical support of the surgical patient. · Organizes electrical equipment, establishes the sterile field, and provides support for the surgical team. · Knowledgeable in the practice of aseptic technique in the operating room environment. · acts as a liaison between Materials Management, Biomedical Department, and the Operating Room. #LI-JS1

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of technical equipment used in the Surgery department
  • Must meet annual Peri-operative service partner competencies
  • Ability to speak, read, and follow directions in English
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment, including large OR beds
  • Computer skills including keyboarding
  • High school diploma
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association (AHA)

Responsibilities

  • Organizes electrical equipment, establishes the sterile field, and provides support for the surgical team.
