Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring thorough patient education and counseling about refractive, laser and surgical procedures.
  • Scheduling refractive, laser and surgical procedures for patients; oversees maintenance and distribution of schedules.
  • Educating patients on financial responsibility, and answers questions on financial documents and ensures patients sign any necessary consent forms.
  • Answering patient phone calls regarding questions or concerns.
  • Providing other related services to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Communicating with supervisor and/or surgeon regarding potential patient concerns
  • Making follow-up calls to potential refractive candidates.
