About The Position

Under the direction of the medical providers, this position’s primary function is to schedule surgical procedures. The Surgical Scheduler works closely with the clinical team, medical providers and hospital staff to provide timely care for our patients. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Two (2) years' experience working in healthcare OR Two (2) years' experience working in customer service
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Nice To Haves

  • AAS in an accredited MOA program or equivalent
  • Knowledge of insurance referral process
  • Basic computer skills; HER, Excel, Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in OR Scheduling
  • Current drivers license

Responsibilities

  • scheduling surgical procedure in ORSOS
  • scheduling all pre- and post-operative appointments
  • obtaining authorization
