About The Position

The Surgical Charge RN position at South Shore is a full-time role with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 0600 to 1430. This position does not require call or weekends. The role involves overseeing daily operations in the operating room, including staffing coordination and room assignments. The charge nurse will be responsible for providing work direction to clinical and support staff, ensuring efficient resource coordination to support surgical procedures, and maintaining a smooth flow of patients through the department. The position also includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus, up to $20,000 in loan support, and up to $7,200 in education assistance.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in a BSN program.
• Typically requires 5 years of experience in Surgical Services and coordinating.
• Preferred knowledge of anesthesia and SPD.

• Provides input to budget and ensures adequate supplies and equipment.
• Participates in product trials and submits recommendations to management.
