Requirements
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Assisting program
- Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required
- Experience in assisting with general anesthesia, IV sedation, and oxygen administration
- Proficient in utilizing CBCT, panoramic, & periapical radiographs, autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, & sterilization techniques.
- CPR & First Aid Certified
Nice To Haves
- AOX / full-arch experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist primarily in All-on-X (AOX) and full-arch surgeries, as well as wisdom teeth extractions, sinus grafts, biopsies, and related oral surgery procedures
- Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking, maintaining lab & procedural areas and ensuring equipment is ready for each patient.
- Provides positive customer service to patients by escorting, communicating, and prepping them for care by doctor.
- Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.
- Administers oxygen & IV sedation as needed, takes blood pressure
- Takes X-Rays, impressions, pours & prepares study models, coordinates lab cases.
- Support sterilization and instrument processing while maintaining strict OSHA and infection-control standards
- Records treatment information on patient’s charts, schedules appointments, and provides follow up and post op direction and instructions to patients.
