About The Position

All positions are located in Fresno/Clovis CA. Community Regional Medical Center is the largest of our three main hospitals and the flagship hospital of the Central Valley. This academic-affiliated, Level 1 Trauma Center is located on a 58-acre campus in downtown Fresno. It features one of the largest and busiest emergency departments in California as well as a comprehensive burn center. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain supplies and orderliness of work area to provide smooth work flow in operating room suite.
  • Maintain an emergency backup cart, backup supplies in the core, and other storage areas, and return any unnecessary supplies to SPD.
  • Provide safe transportation to and from the operating room.
  • Maintain a clean environment, equipment and specialty carts in the surgical area.
  • Assist in room turnover and prepare for following cases.
  • Assist in lifting/transferring patients from stretcher or bed to operating room table.
  • Monitor and document refrigerator temperatures and adjustments.
  • Provide ancillary support to anesthesia provider if anesthesia support is not available.
  • Transport specimens and obtain blood and blood products.
  • Occasionally perform functions as a unit secretary in surgical services, including answering telephones, taking scheduling information, and updating the schedule as directed by the charge nurse.
