About The Position

MercyOne North Iowa is a clinical training site for approximately 500 students from 127 different colleges enrolled in programs for medical laboratory, nursing, paramedic, rehabilitation, medical assistants, pastoral services, physicians and many other medical fields. Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Surgical Aide! As a Surgical Aide at MercyOne, you will support a safe and secure environment for both patients and staff. Responsibilities include implementing AORN Standards of Care and following Mercy Medical Center–North Iowa Operating Room Policies and Procedures. Duties include cleaning operating rooms, assisting with patient positioning and transportation, and maintaining inventory of supplies. Schedule: Days - Full time Days

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (on-site training available if needed).

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of a formal Nurse Aide training program (transcript or certificate required)
• Current enrollment in a Scrub Technologist program
• Current enrollment in an ADN or BSN program with successful completion of the first semester (ADN) or first year (BSN)
• Graduate of an ADN, Diploma, BSN, or LPN program
