As a Surgery/Triage Nurse with OrthoArizona, you will get to: Observe, record, and report patient condition. Screen patients for appropriate medical history information. Communicate instruction for pre- and post-operative care. Arrange for patient admission to hospital or other care facility. Perform triage for incoming patient calls. Instruct patient and family regarding medication and treatment plan instructions. Formulate and update patient care plans in the EMR. Order, prepare, and inspect patient pre-operative testing. Communicate any pre-operative results to physician. Provide monitoring of patient progress between Physician or PA visits. Assist all staff with clinical patient care issues. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of computer programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic examination, diagnostic, and medical procedures.
  • Knowledge of medication.
  • Understand/Perform training on EMR software
  • Continue to expand knowledge of EMR software as updates occur.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Graduation from accredited school of nursing as RN or Practical Nursing (RN/LPN).
  • Active and in good standing Arizona State Nursing Licensure.
  • Maintain CPR certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or surgical setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ModMed highly preferred.
