About The Position

The Operating Room Technician (ORT) performs duties related to patient care and comfort under the direct supervision of licensed personnel. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the ORT functions as a team member in the provision of patient care, prior to during and immediately following the surgical procedure performed in the Operating Room. In addition, the ORT performs special procedures.

Requirements

• Previous clinical experience in a patient care setting, with successful completion of orientation and training to the point of competence.
• ORT certification or graduate of an approved OR technician training program or minimum 1 year experience in central processing with hospital training.
• Current CPR certification.
