About The Position

Northside Hospital is award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing. This position, a Surgery Scheduling Specialist, performs scheduling functions in a high-volume, fully computerized environment, acting as a professional liaison for various hospital personnel and medical staff.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Nursing or related field OR Five (5) years previous medical related clerical experience
• Typing skills
• Experience using computerized documentation systems
• Strong customer service skills
• Problem solving skills

Nice To Haves

• High level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling function in a high volume fully computerized environment.
• Acts as a professional liaison for staff, other hospital personnel, medical staff, and physicians’ offices.
• Maintains specific knowledge of all clinical service lines for the operating rooms at all Northside surgical locations, labor and delivery, and GI services.
