Requirements

• High School Grad or Equivalent
• 1+ Work Experience

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for surgery and preoperative testing as indicated.
• Reviews patient medications and health histories, as needed.
• Completes facility paperwork for scheduled surgeries.
• Obtains necessary scheduling, demographic, insurance, and clinical information to schedule, cancel, or reschedule events with minimal call transfers or callbacks.
• Schedules surgeries with physicians and physician office staff using the method designated by the facility.
• Calls designated departments with information for add-on cases if patients are not yet admitted to the hospital and prepares and sends reservations for each case scheduled within established timeframes.
