Surgery Scheduler Part - time (2) 10-hour shifts Position Summary: Join our surgical services team to ensure seamless coordination of procedures and exceptional patient care. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will manage surgical schedules, verify documentation, and collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to support safe, efficient operations. Highlights: Coordinate surgical schedules across multiple departments Partner with physicians, clinical staff, and ancillary teams Work in a fast-paced, mission-driven hospital setting

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical scheduling or related field
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and surgical procedures
• Familiarity with insurance authorization and pre-certification processes
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with computer systems and scheduling software

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a physician office or hospital setting
• Knowledge of third-party payor policies and CMS guidelines

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate surgery schedules and monitor for errors
• Communicate with physician offices to align surgeon availability
• Verify orders for completeness and medical necessity
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, and supply needs for scheduled procedures
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, ABN, CPT coding, and insurance requirements
• Collaborate with departments such as Surgery, Cath Lab, Infusion Center, and Pre-Surgical Testing
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain confidentiality
