About The Position

Jefferson Healthcare is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join our team in a per diem role. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have strong organizational abilities. This role is essential for scheduling patients in a timely, accurate, efficient, and compassionate manner, ensuring that the processes surrounding surgical procedures are smooth and without concern.
The primary responsibility of the Surgery Scheduler is to create, organize, and maintain an active, accurate, and operational surgery schedule for all parties involved. This position includes managing the surgery schedule and coordinating with patients, physicians, and insurance companies to facilitate timely and accurate surgical procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years' experience in a medical clinic or hospital strongly preferred
• Epic experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of medical/surgical terminology, third-party payor requirements, electronic scheduling systems, and electronic medical records systems.
• Knowledge of medical MA-C preferred.
